Call for Programs: General Submission Procedures
Proposals for presentations may take a variety of formats, including individual papers, panels, poster and roundtable sessions. We invite the submission of proposal abstracts on-line or via postal mail. See detailed information below regarding proposal formats, presentation requirements, and submission procedures.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
ABWHE Membership is required for all presenters.
Please note that you must be an ABWHE member in order to present at the annual conference. Membership includes an annual subscription to our national newsletter and a discount on the conference registration fee. Limit on Presentation Submissions
In order to promote the participation of ABWHE members at the conference, individuals will be limited to one presentation in which s/he is a first author. However, individuals are welcome to participate in additional sessions as panel chairs, discussants, roundtable facilitators, and/or be a second author on another presentation. To facilitate timely review of all papers, please submit a maximum of one proposal for presentation in which you are a first author. Every panel is 1.5 hours in length, regardless of how many authors are presenting or listed on the papers.
Call for Programs Deadlines:
* June 26 - deadline for submissions
* July 25 - notification to selected programs
* July 30 - confirmation/acceptance from selected programs
Decisions regarding proposals will be sent by e-mail. If you are unable to receive notification by e-mail, please indicate an alternative way to contact you on the proposal submission form.
PROPOSAL FORMATS
Paper * Panel * Workshop * Roundtables * Poster
Each session is allotted (1.5 hour) panel sessions. All proposals should include:
- Title of the proposed panel session
- Name, institutional affiliation and title, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers of the panel chair, each presenter, and discussant(s)
- Brief program description or abstract (500 words or less)
- Four keyword descriptors of the program
- Technical/Equipment needs for presentation
Please note that the Program Committee will review all proposals for individual paper presentations, panels, posters or roundtable sessions. Acceptance notices will indicate if the proposal has been accepted.

Please submit your proposal only once via either process below:
(1) Download the Program Proposal form, complete, and mail to above address with supporting documents. The receipt of your proposal will be confirmed via e-mail within 2-3 business days.
(2) Access the on-line Program Proposal submission form by clicking (PDF). You will not receive an automated reply after submitting the on-line form. Rather, the receipt of your proposal will be confirmed via e-mail within 2-3 business days.
SPECIAL NOTE: We anticipate that standard presentation equipment (LCD and overhead projectors and Power point-equipped PCs) will be available for all sessions. Presentation slides and electronic materials must be formatted to be PC / Microsoft Windows compatible. Presenters are responsible for requesting their specific needs in advance of the conference.
