Our vision of the book's benefits: Allowing readers to share your journeys will help prepare them for many of the challenges their own journey might present, if they choose to accept the challenge of climbing higher, academically.  In addition, readers will find answers to questions they might have, or questions they don't even realize they need to have with regard to pursuing their doctorate. By reading and learning about the personal journeys of women who have met this challenge, this book will provide a "bird's eye view" of the journey, thus allowing hem to experience it prior to experiencing it.  As the old saying goes, "forewarned is forearmed."
